Airshoppers was a side project I worked on with the founder. My main contributions were to the digital and communications strategy. However, I also worked with a freelancer to prepare the introductory videos. I wrote the scripts and did the voiceovers as well. Here’s one of those videos.

In the summer of 2006, I was a very active member of the Drama Society at college. A TV ad producer watched one of our plays and asked me to do a commercial for one of their clients. I agreed. Long story short, the TVC did not turn out the way I would’ve liked. I also did not know the client’s name was HINA MOBILE CITY. The ad was played non-stop for several months on cable TV all over Karachi. People started recognizing me in the street, on public transit, and in college. I had to grow a stubble and wear sunglasses to avoid the unwanted attention. I removed all traces of it from the internet to avoid online trolling. After 18 years of keeping it private, I’m declassifying the ad now. It was an interesting and educational experience if nothing else.
